The only thing I knew was that the Prophet (Sal) was so easy mingling and gentle that even his molar teeth was visible when he laughed and he was seen smiling all the time. Now, the events you have mentioned and stories, enlighten the heart to realise that humour was also a part of the early generation and not just spiritual. Masha Allah. thanks for the wondeful post. I wanted to point out though, although alJahith and Ibn Nawwas were known to be of not so great a character, were they ever reprimanded for their use of such language?
